Access for all
Accessibility statement
How we make the site usable for everyone.
We want everyone who lives in our four areas to be able to use this website, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
What we have done
- The site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA.
- The body text uses Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for readers with low vision.
- Every item on the map is also listed as text in the List view, so you do not need to use the map to read it.
- Map pins can be reached and opened with the keyboard.
- Forms explain each error next to the field, in words, not only in colour.
- The site works at 400% zoom and on small phone screens.
Known limits
Choosing a location on a map is harder with a screen reader. If you cannot place a pin, use the contact form and describe where the problem is, and a volunteer will add it for you.
